Lucion Environmental helping a North East town get rid of the warnings of asbestos there could be damaged by.
When it comes to fulfilling their corporate social responsibility, few companies manage to execute it with as much soul and good intent as leading hazard management firm Lucion Environmental.
Lucion have been providing businesses across the globe with asbestos management and consultancy for over ten years, and earlier this month signed a deal to donate these services to a martial arts gym based in South Shields, North East. Alongside major construction firm Willmott Dixon, Lucion have been part of a community rescue attempt to save the building as it gradually fell into a state of decay.
The building, which opened to the South Shields community four years ago, is considered a vital place for young people to attend extra-curricular activities and classes such as kickboxing and Jiu-Jitsu. In line with Lucion’s asbestos awareness program, and their involvement in the refurbishment of the area’s Town Hall, Lucion provided asbestos analysis of the gym, which will require significant repair to bring it back to its former glory.
Lucion Environmental typically deal with large-scale asbestos abatement consultancy in built environments, whilst partner company Lucion Marine concentrate on the identification of hazardous materials and ship recycling in the offshore and naval industries.
